About Elena Zhidkova-Rice

Elena Zhidkova-Rice is a certified aromatherapist, olfactotherapist, and Reiki practitioner who writes with deep sensitivity and intuitive wisdom about the emotional, sensual, and energetic aspects of healing. Her books blend the science of scent with the art of presence, guiding readers through gentle, soul-centered practices that help reconnect body, mind, and heart.

Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Elena grew up in a scholarly, creative household surrounded by books, theaters, art studios, and museums. She earned her degree in Russian language education from the University of People’s Friendship and taught Russian to international students before moving to Connecticut, USA, where she now lives with her husband.

After facing personal health challenges, Elena turned to aromatherapy and discovered the transformational power of scent. She pursued certifications in clinical aromatherapy, transformational French olfactotherapy, and Aroma Diagnostics, and later expanded her practice into energy healing through Reiki. She has also completed therapeutic programs in psychology and sexology, deepening her understanding of emotional patterns, intimacy, and self-worth.

Elena’s books speak to women who are seeking emotional balance, sensual reconnection, and holistic healing through gentle, natural methods. Her writing explores themes of memory, desire, feminine energy, self-discovery, and body awareness. With a nurturing and poetic voice, she offers tools for women to feel seen, empowered, and whole.

When she’s not writing or working with clients, Elena is often studying new healing practices (including Tai Chi), exploring essential oils, or reflecting quietly on life’s beauty through scent and silence.
